Minimum Attendance Required

1. Emeritus adopts a Learning Management System (LMS), which is a customized deployment of Instructure’s Canvas LMS to assist students to keep track of their attendance and grades at any point in time. The information on Canvas is confidential. Each student has their own individual log-in details.
2. Students need to achieve at least 75 percent overall participation of course activities (such as reviewing the interactive videos, class discussions). Other than the 75 percent participation, all quizzes and assignments need to be submitted.
3. Most of the programs at Emeritus are run on a cohort basis. Peer engagements for each cohort are expected to be intensive. Therefore, students are expected to adhere to the timeframe given for each program as stated in the student’s contract. No extension of duration for completion is allowed except where exceptional valid reasons are provided, as explained in the section on “Application for Extension of Time.” No extension of duration for completion is allowed under any circumstances for self-paced Certificate Courses.
